People’s Art Club is on every Tuesday at the PRSC 2-4pm. It’s always free with new activities every week.
Yesterday was a Mental Matrix Experience hosted by @x.in.o aka Kat. Prompts were projected on the wall and participants were challenged to produce works following loose directive (if they wanted to). We were really impressed with the results!

ACTIVITY:
Drawing/painting faces while following creative “rules”.
Start with any of the A, X, Y, or Z pieces listed.
For each piece you will draw or paint a face following the guidelines for what the piece “‘must include”.
Complete as many as you like.
ADDITIONAL RULES are listed at end. Choose whichever resonates.
A piece: 1 face: must include:
1 collaged facial feature,
1 collaged land formation,
1 hand (drawn or painted),
+ follow one “ADDITIONAL RULE”
X piece: 1 face: must include:
1 collaged facial feature,
2 collaged objects,
2 hands painted or drawn
+ follow 1 ADDITIONAL RULE.
Y piece: 1 face: must include;
2 facial features collaged,
2 hands drawn or painted
+ follow 2 ADDITIONAL RULES.
Z piece: 2 faces: must include:
4 facial features collaged,
2 faces drawn or painted,
At least 3 hands drawn or painted,
+ follow 1 ADDITIONAL RULE.
ADDITIONAL RULE options:
Use one (non-skin) colour for the skin,
Draw a face entirely of eyes,
Animal ego somehow symbolised,
Draw a face in profile with 2 eyes (side of face only).
