SUMMARY:Workshop: Reclaim Your Body - Reclaim Your Magic with Viola Bruni
DESCRIPTION:Join Viola Bruni at The Haunted Bookshop as she teaches you way
s to reclaim your magic through movement.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n“And remember: a
  witch\, first and foremost\, is a woman in her power.” - A.W.\n\n&nbsp\
;\n\nWhat is your relationship with your body?\n\nWhat is your connection
to your menstrual cycle?\n\nIs your creativity and sensual expression flow
ing or stuck? And what does all of this have to do with magic?\n\n&nbsp\;\
 n\nFor centuries\, many religions\, philosophies and spiritualities have d
isseminated the concept that the body and its inherent wisdom is somehow i
nferior to the knowledge of the mind\, to logic\, to rationality. Some hav
e declared the body sinful and relegated sexuality to reproduction\, shami
ng its free expression:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSo many of us were taught to keep a
lid on anything and everything outrageous. To just turn it off. We turn of
f our life force\, turn off our feelings\, turn off our sensuality\, and a
 s a consequence\, we turn off our power. - Regena Thomashauer\, Pussy: A R
eclamation\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nPatriarchal religions sold us the connection to t
he divine as being up and out in a distant god. What if\, instead\, the wa
y to more magic was down and within? What if your body was the temple that
hosts the divine spark\, and your sex and your blood were sacred and holy
? How differently would you perceive yourself if you held this thought in
your consciousness? How differently would you live your life?\n\n&nbsp\;\n
\nIf you ever felt a block to your capacity to create or act freely in the
world\;\n\nIf you ever felt silenced and dismissed in your intuitive trut
h by ‘rational arguments’\;\n\nIf you long for a deeper connection wit
h your own body and your cauldron within (aka your womb)\, but are not sur
e where to start\n\nAnd if this scares you\, especially if this scares you
\, come along. We shake off the chains together\, holding hands\, moving b
odies.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAbout your host:\n\nViola is an Embodied Meditation t
eacher who works with tarot and movement in her workshops and 1:1 coaching
sessions. She loves guiding people to reconnect with the inner wisdom of
their bodies to help them reach their goals. In her university studies\, s
he combined metaphors and movement research to create profound embodied ex
periences that work on the edge of language\, movement and cognition. She
is an experienced facilitator with years of practice as a movement and med
itation teacher\, as well as a women's circle guide with Tessa Black from
Think Emerald.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nPlease note: the embodiment and meditation ex
ercises we will do are simple and accessible\, and don't require any previ
ous movement experience. They are led in a trauma-informed manner: you are
invited to join in any capacity that is comfortable for you.\n\nReserve y
 our spot here.
