SUMMARY:Bodies of Water - Opening Night at The Launderette
DESCRIPTION:An artist residency and collaborative exhibition space with eve
 nts and workshops hosted by Fra Beecher\nJoin Fra Beecher for the opening 
 night of her residency at The Launderette. The work on display will evolve
  throughout her two week residency. This evening will be a chance to talk 
 about the work Fra is making\, and to discuss ways to collaborate with her

 e135074\n\nFra Beecher is an artist and life model\, and co-founder of Uni
 ted Models Life Drawing CIC. Her creative practice is informed by her mode
 lling work and the weekly life drawing sessions she facilitates in Bristol
 . Through her projects\, including Body of Work (2018-2020)\, Fra challeng
 es the misconception that female life models are passive objects.\n\nAs a 
 longstanding wild swimmer\, Fra has begun to explore the physical\, emotio
 nal and psychological experience of swimming in the River Avon through pho
 tography\, writing\, drawing and sculpture.\n\nThis residency and exhibiti
 on is an opportunity to experiment\, and reflect\, making new work and col
 laborating with artists\, writers and fellow swimmers. Through a series of
  creative workshops\, attendees will have the opportunity to share their o
 wn personal connections to bodies of water\, which will become part of the
  works on display.\n\nEntry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s t
 o be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs\, 1:1 ratio)\nEvents schedule:\n\n
